Sunday Dinner at The Christensen’s

Brent and Tammy were the very first people that came up to us at church to say hello when we first moved into the ward.  Since then we have been friends. Every now and then we watch foreign films in our theatre, have fun dinners together, or go out for Indian or Mexican food.  We both love The Bombay and they recently took us to our new favorite Mexican restaurant, The Tarahumara.

Brent needed computer help today so they invited us for dinner. Tammy is going back to France this Spring and taking Sienna, their oldest with her.  They did this last Spring as well. Brent will be joining them on their last week there in Paris. Tammy works as a French teacher at UVU, so they asked her this year and last if she would chaperon a group of students to this one month study abroad program.  Brent got to go for 2 weeks last year and is going for one this year. Sienna has gone for the whole time each year.  We are so excited for them!!! We let them borrow our Top Ten Paris Book which we loved to have on our trip.  That is how we found some of our most favorite spots both in Paris and London.

The kids played before dinner, Tammy and I talked, and Jared and Brent worked on his computer.

We ate a delicious goulash and home baked bread.

Tristan and Esher didn’t like it but Paris ate it all up! I was very proud of Tristan for trying it-that girl hates tomatoes like her dad, and this was full of them. Jared just swallowed them whole.

After dinner we had a delicious apple crisp-it was so good I had to get the recipe.  Maybe Paris will make it for us one day, wink wink!!

We sat and talked for a short time because Jared had to come home and pack. We always enjoy out time with them!!!
