Dinner @ Grandma Jo’s

The kids are so funny they call everything Grandma Jo’s, they even call Pops Grandpa Jo sometimes. They had us over dinner today. Jared had to set up their new computer so we were all invited for dinner. It was grub!!

    

We had some delicious chicken, spaghetti and some of the parmesan toast Jo Ann loves to burn.

 

Every hour this cuckoo clock cuckoos so the kids wait for it when they remember. They waited in the living room until they all saw and heard it.

Dinner was wonderful. We are so happy to have Grandma Jo and Pops back!

I Love Sundays

We just relax, eat good grub, play games, and watch TV…why can’t everyday be Sunday.

 

Sorry is one of my favorite games. Jared looked like he was going to win until he was Sorry’d one too many times and ended up in 3rd place. Esher was last. I won!

   

 

The Whole Family

We had a BBQ for Gary and Jo Ann today. They have just returned from their 18 month mission in Washington DC. It was so fun getting together and seeing everyone. We don’t see Jared’s cousins very often so it’s always nice when we do! Jason had a film to show us that he made when they were all together at Snowbird. It is called The Rules.  Very cute and clever!

Tristan was of course with an animal in hand the whole time.

We forgot our camera for the first part of the BBQ so these are the only picture we have.

It is so cute because the boys are always trying to dress-up like twins. This time Esher didn’t want to wear his shirt.

 

My Love’s Office

This is the wall that took us over a week to figure out and finish. I love the colors Jared chose for his office. It is the coolest office ever!

   

Esher’s First Bee Sting

My poor boy got stung by a bee today making this his first one. After many tears he was able to smile for this picture.

To help him feel better we took them all to Mc Donald’s.  I just love these kids they are just eh cutest!!!

Oh good, it worked!

Preschool

Esher started preschool today and we were all so excited! Our favorite teacher Miss Anita moved to Orem Elementary School after they closed down the preschool program at UVU. So now Esher goes to Orem Elementary.

 

Daddy was there waiting for him for his first day.

 

We are so excited for this year. It will be the first time in 9 1/2 years that I consistently have 2 1/2 hours to myself. I can go to the park and read uninterrupted (it has been a dream of mine for the last 2 years but I still haven’t had a chance to), I can meet My Love for lunch (The one I’m most looking forward to), I can go grocery shopping, I can work on the computer, or yes I will say it….take a nap if I wanted to. Seriously, the possibilities are endless-yeah!!!!!

 

This is Miss Anita telling Esher how much she missed him this summer.

  

The routine is the same. He comes, writes his name, answers a Yes or No Question of the Day and then plays. He knew exactly what to do.

He showed us around before he settled in to play with the blocks.

To celebrated, My Wonderful Love, took me to lunch. I really wanted The Happy Sumo but the wait was too long so we went to Shoots instead. It is the Chinese place right next door. Well I wanted to document the whole thing so I took our $1200 camera with us to take pictures. I hung it on the back of my chair and quickly forgot all about it. When we returned to pick up My Love’s car we noticed Esher was out in the playground. I went to grab for the camera and realized it was not there. I knew that I had left it at Shoots. My Love quickly called the restaurant and they said they had it in the back. If someone had taken it I don’t think I could ever have enjoyed my 2 1/2 hours ever again. I’m so grateful for honest people!!!
