It is our last Parent’s Day at UVU since Esher will be going to Orem Elementary School next year. Miss Anita (the greatest preschool teaching in the world) is going to teach preschool there, so we are moving with her for Esher’s real preschool not his pre-preschool that he has had this year. He was so ready to go this year we are so glad we did it. Paris did Pre-preschool and loved it, but Tristan was just fine doing the one year of preschool nothing more.
They sang The Chestnut Tree song which Esher has been practicing at home for weeks. He is so adorable!!
Next they did a play to the book….
This is the part when the caterpillar turned into a butterfly. He is just so happy-that’s my boy!!!
I love that his feet are just above the ground.
He ran off the stage after it was done and gave me and Tristan the biggest hugs. Daddy had so much work to do he just couldn’t get away. I know it is on his Greatest Regrets List, because he just HATES missing things like this!!!!
He showed us his own stages of a caterpillar.
I love how he draws eyes inside the smile.
Tristan and Esher did an experiment. How far will the wind blow a small piece of paper? Each kid had something different.
We played in the “rain”and sang songs.
We saw the class caterpillars that had turned into butterflies. They actually saw one of them eat its way out of the chrysalis.
Esher showed us this spider and as he moved the magnifying glass it came up and the spider took off. I was able to catch it but Esher’s face was priceless, but I didn't get a picture of it, bummer!
We had a picnic and let the butterflies go.
We waves good-bye. Tristan watched where it landed so we got one last close-up of the beautiful butterfly.
We had so much fun with everyone and had yummy popsicles and cookies as our snack.
The kids all played together before we left.
My boy is just the sweetest thing!! He brought me these flowers, he always thinking of his mom. I love my baby boy, he’s going to make such a wonderful hubby!!!
We had to say our last good-byes to the class ducklings. Tristan was so happy they were still there. They have grown sooo much in 3 weeks.
We are sad not to be at UVU anymore but, at least he has one more year of Miss Anita. Jared always says she never gets annoyed or frustrated with the kids, but seems to get a little annoyed at some parents. She just loves her kids so much and you can tell!!!
