Sometimes we just crave cookies! Paris made a batch with chocolate chips and I made one with butterscotch chips. They were both delicious!!!

I’m Ready Dad!
Every morning this week at about 7:45 Esher wakes up his daddy to let him know he is ready for school. His school doesn’t start until 8:40. He is so excited every day and wants to make sure he isn’t late. He walks around all morning long with his backpack on-he is just adorable!!!

Tristan’s First Day
Yesterday she just got to hang out with dad at the office so today she was so excited to start school. It’s kind of nice that she has the same kids in her class for all 5 years of the Spanish Emersion Program, which means that every years she knows everyone. Last year it took her about 2 months to be comfortable with all the kids.
Tristan was so excited when I picked her up. She had a wonderful first day.
Zoe on the other hand did not! I finally had convinced Janette to join the program. She was so nervous about it the whole day and I told her the minute you pick her up you will realize you made the right decision. I told her I felt the same way last year, but when I picked Tristan up she excited told me how much she loved it that it put my mind at ease forever. Why do I say things like that???? Zoe had been accidently put in first track back in April when she was accepted into the program. Janette called many times to make sure she was not on 1st track but on 2nd track. Of course, right after I put my foot in my mouth she gets a call from the school asking her why she hadn’t picked up Zoe. Zoe had never been switch out of 1st track so she was sent out with that group. She waited for 45 minutes for her mom to come before she walked into the office to call her. Janette was so upset! Zoe was in tears telling her mom all about it. Please let tomorrow be better.
It was, thank goodness!

Esher, Paris and Mommy’s First Day
Today Esher and Paris start school and I started work. For the longest time I have been having a hard time with missing their first day of school. One day while at the temple I was feeling terrible about it. Then the thought came to my mind: Mom’s sacrifice a lot more than just a first day of school for their kids. I couldn’t believe how petty I had been this whole time. Yes, mom’s sometimes work late into the night to be able to put food on the table and never get to see their kids. My Love and I personally know of many mom’s who work in other countries hoping to give their kids a better life and being forced to leave their kids to be raised by their family members. Sometimes they only get to see them once a year if that. My job at Provo High is 10 minutes away and it goes from 7:30 to 12:30. My Love has to get the kids ready and to school every morning. He is so amazing at it! The kids just love it and will remember it forever. Being off at 12:30 still allows me to go to the temple, meet My Love for lunch, do genealogy with Jo Ann, and still be home in time for the kids after school. I couldn’t have asked for a better job schedule.
We just love Mrs. Anderson- she is just the very best.
Esher is sitting right next to Mia.
I just love this boy!!!
Paris was a few minutes late to her class so, My Love only got a couple pictures of her.
She is so stinkin’ gorgeous!!
I was there to pick them up which I was very grateful for!!
On the way out of the building My Love looked over to see his friend Preston holding a camera just like him. He was also there by himself dropping off the kids. Preston laughed when he saw Jared and said “Boy, times have really changed!” I am so so glad they have!!!! Next to Jared, Preston is one of the most involved dads I have ever met. He is always doing everything he can to help his wife and is at every kid activity with the biggest smile on his face, just like MY LOVE!

Our Tristan
We had a cousin swap but Tristan wasn’t able to swap because Ash already had a friend over. So, we took her to lunch! She is so much fun-what a blessing she is!!

Paris & Aubree’s First Game
Paris just loves to play and is really using the skills she learned at BYU to her advantage. All we need now is for her to pick up some speed. She decided on her own to do this arm waving and yelling thing to distract the other players when she got the ball. Everyone on the side lines was asking me about it. All I said was “That’s our Paris!” That girl is always coming up with some crazy idea or another, but we still love her!!!
We are hoping to make Paris and Aubree the dream team of their high school team well, if they go to the same school. They really work very well together!
I just love the parents on all of our kids teams. They are wonderful people that make it seem like a party when we watch the games together. We are so blessed to be surrounded by such incredible people!!!

Tristan & Ashlynn’s First Game
We love watching them play!
Sebastian knows he’s not allowed past the white line. He is so funny because most of the time he will just barely touch it. Here he is being good by being at least 3 inches from it.
This year Paris and Tristan both have the same coach and the same practice time-love it!!!!
Daddy filled in for a couple games for each of the girls. Once because they had a game at the same time. He also did one of the practices. Hopefully next year he can be the coach for them.
