Okay, if there is ever a shortage of squirrels anywhere in the world they can just come to Washington DC and grab a couple million and no one would ever notice! Anywhere and everywhere we went there was always a squirrel near by that our kids could chase… I’m sure in the squirrel’s eyes it was more like torture.
Well it came as no surprise, since they are everywhere, when Tristan found a small stuffed animal squirrel that made some kind of squirrel sound. SHE HAD TO BUY IT!! As we were walking along the Reflection Pool there where hundreds of squirrels everywhere. Tristan was in heaven trying to lure them to her with her fake squirrel and the sound it made.
This is her chasing a squirrel while squeezing her little stuffed animal (so it made the squirrel sound) hoping it would make the squirrel stop and turn to its brother or sister calling to it. Didn’t really work.
Then she tried it on another one-didn’t work.
But then there was one that almost fell for it. I think until it realized that the red and white thing she was holding was not really food like it thought it was.
The walk from Gary and Joann’s place to the Memorials was not far and very beautiful. I love having the opportunity to walk everywhere. And the walks are always full of big beautiful lush trees. Oh I forgot to say that for the first time in my life I saw a real life FIREFLIES. It looks like some invisible person is trying desperately to light a match and it keeps going out every few seconds. IT WAS THE COOLEST THING!!!
So earlier that morning Tristan decided to really try to get her tooth out. SO SHE TWISTED IT.
When we came home from church she pulled it out herself.
SHE LOOKS SO CUTE!!!
The Tooth Fairy came that night and gave Tristan $2 but according to the her letter…
She had come to Provo and The Travel Fairy told her Tristan was in DC and asked her to give each of the kids $20 from her because she knew they were all going to New York the next morning. It’s fun being the parent, can't say much more about that for another 7 years, wink wink!
