The kids didn’t wake up until about 10 am and not one of them tried to run downstairs to open gifts. Paris jumped in the shower while the other two just laid around coughing. They are all still not at 100% and now they all have terrible sounding coughs. About an hour later we all headed downstairs.
Paris coughed through most of the morning.
They opened their Santa Gifts first.
Esher got the Donkey Kong Wii Game he has wanted for weeks. Advertising on The Disney Chanel really works!
Tristan got the Cowgirl Boots she has wanted since last summer.
Paris, our little baker, got A Cookie Shaper and Cake Decorating Tips that she has looked up on line almost every week since her birthday.
What happened next almost brought me to tears. I have always thought children should have a small number of gifts for Christmas. Too much makes them greedy for more and unappreciative of what they do get. The kids have always appreciated the few gifts they do get, but tonight they were more excited to give. Not normally something children during Christmas know much about. They asked us to open our gifts first before they did theirs. Paris had hidden all of our presents from us, so we had no idea they had made anything for us. She climbed up to the Santa Sleigh to get them.
They were so excited!!!
We each got a puzzle(Tristan’s Idea-so creative!) from each of them that they made from cardboard-so cute!!!
Then we got three beautiful pictures that they drew in frames that they made.
A Coupon Book from Paris for me and a Book of Snowflakes for daddy. Paris cut out different snowflakes and gave them all cute names. You can fold them out of each page like a pop up book and look at them. She is so so very creative!!!!
Esher got clothes, a puzzle,a card game (Esher loves playing family games), a remote control helicopter, and a remote control giant car that transforms into a truck.
Tristan got clothes, black boots, a puzzle and her big gift was an itouch (she contributed $50 towards it)
Paris got clothes, black boots,and a very expensive itouch (she contributed $210 towards it). She is the daughter of a geek for sure. The reason she only got 3 gift was because we had to pay $100 towards her itouch-more than what we paid for the different things the other two received. So, Esher’s theory wasn’t as true as he believed it to be. They were all very very good this year. If Santa put the number of present that equaled how good they were , our home would be full from top to bottom with gifts. We are very blessed to have very good children!
We had Paris and Tristan open the itouchs at the same time.
The girls were just in heaven!!!

In there stockings they got candy, a Wii numb chuck, Esher got one more Wii game and the girls got scarfs & mittens,. The whole family got The Beatles Rockband Wii.
Sebastian also got a few little gifts. He got a stuffed doggie and 3 squeaky toys. He was so stinkin’ cute grabbing one at time to take outside. He really looked like a kid at an all you can eat candy store.
You can see his stuffed doggie outside with him as he is coming back for another toy. I love his little paw prints going back and forth.
Esher just couldn’t wait any long to fly his new helicopter. It was so cold they came in about 20 minutes later.
Don’t get me wrong, it really was our very worst Christmas EVER, but being together makes all the difference in the world!!!
