For my dad’s birthday dinner we all decided to take him to Medieval Times. He was actually very excited about it. My brother Ozzy and Keely flew in from Chicago for the big weekend celebration. We are having a big party for him on Saturday to celebrate his 60th birthday.
To be honest this place was just awesome!!! Both Tristan and Esher said they want to have there birthday here next year-I don’t think that will happen but at least they have experience once in their lives. We all loved it!!!!
WE had to wait for my parents and brothers to arrive so my cute little love watched the Giant/Rockies game on his iphone-SO CUTE!
We started off with face painting-Have I mentioned how much I love to have my face painted?
Tristan and I got matching ones.
Iain got a green dragon with yellow fire coming out of him and Esher got a blue one with red fire.
Before you enter the arena you can walk around and meet the king, Prince and Princess. They also had a few little performances going on-we loved them all!
Finally every one arrived.
The kids all made hats of their own and they made one for Marlee that said “Princess of Binky” with a binky drawn on it.
We had arrived early to try and get good seats but they wouldn’t seat us until we were all together. We thought we would have the crappiest seats for sure. It turned out that we sat right next to the King and Princess on the first and second row. Because we had such a large party they had reserved our seats. It is usually first come first serve. So all the knights faced us the majority of the time. It was PERFECT!
Most of us wore our hats the whole time. It was cute and dorky all at the same time.
The story line was kind of dumb but the whole performance was very entertaining!!
The Prince gets kidnapped. There are evil men that are part of the king’s knights who plan on over throwing the kingdom.

Our knight was the green night who ended up being the villain who kidnapped the Prince to take his kingdom. We didn’t care we cheering for him anyway!!
The joisting was the best.
Actually the very best was having all the kids into it.
Our knight threw a flower to each of the girls (Paris, Tristan, and Victoria)..they were elated!

My grandma even loved it. Grandma is the best to take anywhere. She will out walk you and never once complain about anything we do-she loves it all! In the last 5 years she has travelled more than she did her whole life before that. She has been to Europe about 4 times totaling about 12 countries, saw the Pope in person, and can’t wait to go next year to Jerusalem to walk where Jesus walked. She’s just getting the okay from her doctor after her back surgery. My Grandma is just an incredible person who started her family in EXTREME poverty (they lived in a cardboard house) and fought her way out of it with all of her 6 kids (she had 2 more but they died). We all love and admire her deeply.
We all got to eat with our hands-always the best way!!!
In the end the Prince gets free and captures all the bad guys in his kingdom.
The celebration. I felt so bad because I didn’t put my dad’s name in to be mentioned as celebrating a birthday. 
You can meet your favorite knights in the lobby after the performance.Then they had loud music and dancing for about 30 minutes. IT WAS SO FUN!!!
Omar was funny to watch-he really got into it!
Then these two girls started dancing with Esher-he was so cute about it.
It was the perfect night-we ALL loved it!!!!

What a perfect birthday celebration for your Dad! Medieval Times and the big family and friends celebration. He looks great for 60 and your maternal grandmother is an amazing woman!
