Poor Poor Uncle Bud

So while we were gone to Mexico Uncle Bud had surgery on his knee so, we decided to drop off some cookies

and give him a visit.

Here’s his knee – it looks absolutely awful!!

Aunt Dixie hid behind Tristan in this picture. She’s so beautiful I don’t know why she thinks she need to do that.

The whole time Uncle Bud praised Aunt Dixie for being such a wonderful nurse. He told us a funny story about the first day he got back.  He is suppose to walk on it regularly but when he first got home he was a little down and just wanted to stay in bed all day.  Well, Aunt Dixie brought him breakfast in bed and even fed it to him, but on her way out she said “That was breakfast in bed, but if you want any other meals you have to come in the kitchen to eat them.”  So he realized that he was being silly and at lunch showed up to eat.  He is in a lot of pain but is happy that now his knee will out live him and he wont have to do it again.  It takes 6 to 8 months to fully recover.  He is so blessed to have Aunt Dixie by his side to help him every step of the way!

I’m so glad we got a chance to visit!!!

Oh yah, and the reason why there are so many pictures of the dog and not Uncle Bud and Aunt Dixie is because the kids took the camera.  I really could have posted about 40 more pictures of the dog if I wanted to.
