New Year’s Day

We all had a wonderful morning sleeping in and waking up to Paris’ cake. This girl just loves to create. Today she made this cake from scratch. Daddy said it was one of the best cakes he has ever tasted. It was suppose to be a sheet cake, but she accidently made it in a regular 9x13 pan. Daddy loved the density of it!

Grandma Jo and Grandpa Gary came over to take Tristan to breakfast for her birthday and to take her shopping. Since July Tristan has been planning a shopping trip to Burlington Coat Factory with the $25 she gets for her birthday from Grandma & Grandpa. She came home so happy with the many fun things she bought for just $26.87-grandpa let her go over a little on the birthday budget.

She ended up with 2 headbands, a beautiful necklace, a note pad, a watch with a cool box, and two hats. Grandma was so impressed at how meticulously she bought each item to match different outfits. We are all so spoiled having grandma and grandpa so close-we love it!!!

To Paris’ dismay we continued the new year with our Saturday tradition of In-N-Out Burgers (Paris is not a fan!). The tradition is quickly changing to In-N-Out Burgers and Taco Bell. Grandma, Paris and I headed to get our food while My love & Gary watched the football game.

We ate in the theater in front of the game and after the game watched a show with the kids. It was a perfectly relaxing day to begin the new year. Our favorite part was having Gary & Jo Ann there to share it with us.
