Fall Break

My friend Mia moved to Idaho a couple months ago and I really wanted to go visit her. We had no money for a big vacation during fall break so I headed up to Idaho with the kids-My Love had to work. We took Aubree with us which Paris loved!! I have never been to Idaho so I was very impressed at how beautiful it is! The drive was just so pleasant and easy to do. They live less than 3 hours away. I talked to my sister the whole way up.

When we arrived it was dinner time so Richard and Mia took us all out to eat. We went to a nearby small town (I thought the place was closed because no one was there or on the streets) to their Pizzeria. It was so good…I can’t wait to take My Love there-he will love it!! 

The kids asked for quarters from Richard and being the awesome guy that he is he kept giving them some. They bought tiny trinkets from the machines and played a couple songs on the jukebox. They were the only kids there so they danced, played the piano, played pinball, and laughed all over the place.

 

The kids were all starving so they ate everything. I’m telling you, that is the way to get your kids to eat everything, don’t feed them more than 2 meals a day. We ordered some spicy potato wedges that were the best I have ever had. The pizza was packed with stuff and delicious!!!

 

It was so much fun hanging out with them. They are such a great couple-I just love their company.

They had rented a movie for the kids, so we headed home to watch it. The kids and I all slept in the TV room. I just love their house- it is just so cute and the view is breathtaking!!

Carpet Cleaning

Our carpet has needed cleaning for a very very long time now but I was always thinking this year we were getting new carpet so why clean the old one. Well, with our pay cut the dream of getting it this last April went out the window. Then we got Sebastian in September and he is not potty trained, so we had to get our carpets cleaned. It was just getting terrible and you could see the spot were he had had accidents and oh yes it stunk! My friend Jackie told me to look around for a cheap company since we will probably need to do this often now that we have a puppy. I am so glad we did it!! The spots are gone and it no longer smells-thank goodness!!

The kids were so cute at the bottom of the stairs watching the guy clean the living room. The carpet was super wet for a whole day but it was all worth it!

 

And this is why we still have a dog that is not fully potty trained. Tristan and Jared just love this dog so very very much and he knows they do. Tonight while we were watching TV Tristan went down to lay with Sebastian and they both fell asleep…ADORABLE!

The Girl’s Choir

Every Tuesday and Thursday our girls wake up extra early to make it to choir practice by 7:30am.

This was their first performance of the year at the Provo School District Board Meeting…they were just AMAZING!!!! By the end my friend Rachael and I were in tears. They sang all patriotic songs that just touch your heart on so many levels. It makes you so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, the ability to dream to infinity & beyond, and to always have hope for a brighter tomorrow. We can NEVER forget the ones whose lives and time have gone into insuring all of this just for me and you!! Needless to say it was very emotional.

   

Esher and I were in the back so Esher could stand up. My Love went straight to the front so he could take better pictures of the girls.

Mrs. Thibault does such a great job with these kids! I was so proud of our girls for knowing every word and singing so well!!!

I can’t wait for more performances from them!!!

Our New Dog

Tristan and Esher decided to play dog. Well, Esher was the dog and Tristan the owner. Esher had Paris’ DSi, treats, a warm blanket, and even some milk he licked out of his cup inside the cage. And when he was out of the cage Tristan would give him even more treats for each trick he did. He was loving it.

Sebastian was so confused and just couldn’t figure out how someone would volunteer to be in that cage. He always runs away and tries to hide when it is time for him to go in it.

 

Snow Patrol

One of the millions of things that I love about my wonderful husband is his love of music. I knew very little about music before I met him.I could only remember songs by their track number and not the album or song name(okay I still do that) and sometimes not even the band (okay, I at least know the band names now). About a month ago he introduced me to my new favorite band Snow Patrol, so when they came to UVU he bought us tickets. We went to The Happy Sumo first. That day my friend Janette sold some of my aprons. I was suppose to help at our booth but I had the baptism that morning so she had to do the whole thing for me. I walked away with $50 that paid for our yummy dinner.

The band is from Ireland. I loved that the singer kept talking to the audience. It makes it so much more personal when they tell you about things they have done around here and about the things that inspired certain songs.

   

Okay, so I have always loved Jared’s toes. They are just so cute to me. When we first got married I went to take a picture of his toes, so I could put it in a frame and keep it on my desk, and he kind of freaked on me. I never understood it and years later he confessed that he felt super bad about the way he reacted but he was self conscious of his toes and once he freaked he couldn’t stop what he had started. He said he thought about it later and realized how cute it was that I wanted to do that, seriously who has pictures of their husband’s toes on their desk….probably no one!!! Now he lets me take as many pictures of his toes as I want. I love how cute they look with jeans, so I had to take this picture!!

 

         The concert was just amazing!!!!

Dallin’s Baptism

Jared was honored when Dallin asked him to speak at his baptism. His talk was on the Holy Ghost. I love to hear my husband talk because he always is so real and very funny. He gets his message across with stories you will always remember and you leave feeling so happy in your heart. Dallin is growing up to be such a wonderful boy!! He has come a long way from the days when he would knock Tristan down to the ground just for fun...thank goodness! Hee hee!

We are so proud of you Dallin!!!

Can you believe Jared was Tony’s best man when he got married? I love that they go way way back!!

We were so looking forward to going to Chuck–A-Rama (my favorite buffet ever!!!), but Esher threw-up 3 times on the way up to the baptism and we were afraid it would happen even more once we got around food. During the ceremony I had to sit away from everyone with a plastic bag in my hand just incase he did it again. He only threw-up once more in the car on the way back.

Sebastian & The Kids

They just love this dog. He is getting so big and I am slowly adjusting to having a new child to raise. My Love has just been the most amazing help with him. When he is home I don’t have to do one thing for the dog which is really nice. The kids are trying to help out, but we have figured out they could help even more. They all watched me as I cleaned out the car. I had told them to take care of Sebastian so they brought him out to the car I was cleaning. It was very funny!

 

Zoe & Tristan

The girls got out of school early today and Janette is doing her preschool, so we invited Zoe to Mc Donald’s with us for some ice cream. At first she wasn’t going to go until I mentioned ice cream. Her eyes lit up as she said “Okay, I’ll go with you!” Paris went to a friend’s house and Esher is in school until 3:30.

I love that the girls both wore hats today to school! They both love accessories!

They were so goofy!

Everyone had left by the time they finished their ice cream so they had the place all to themselves. They divided the upstairs part into two bedrooms and had these two babies that Tristan is holding to take care of. They are her socks rolled up. These girls play so well together-I’m grateful Zoe only lives 2 doors away.

    

Game Two

Today is also an afternoon game so again we had lunch in front of the game. I just love all the fun things we get to do together!!!

 

This time we had Chatters (Can’t wait till In-N-Out opens!!) for our lunch, some seeds and the rest of our treats from yesterday.

 

This was a much better game because The Rockies won in Philadelphia 5-4.

It would be amazing if they went all the way, but The Phillies won the Series last year and they seem even better this year, so we are a little worried!! But if the Rockies are on we know they can do it!

Go Rockies!!!

Here we are again with another chance at the World Series Championship. The Rockies have just been amazing these last few months, we are so proud of them whether they win or lose!!

Today is the first day so My love and I are watching the game at his office because it is a 1pm game. So we have pizza, cokes in a bottle and lots of yummy treats. I love baseball and I love it even more when I get to watch it with My Wonderful Love!!! He is just like my dad when he watches baseball. With my dad I would always ask questions about the game and I always would get an answer…sometimes it took 5 seconds other times 5 minutes. I knew an answer was coming so I would just sit and wait for it no matter how long it took. The part I loved the most was that my dad and I were spending time together!

Jared does the same thing..how funny!! The Padres were way out of it weeks ago so for the Series I have converted to a Rockies fan…see my hat?

They lost this first game 5-1 but there is always tomorrow.
