Spain-Tristan’s Presentation

Tristan had to do a report on a country where her ancestors came from. She decided to do Spain since her great-grandfather’s line goes back to Barcelona, Spain. I think she chose it because of the poofy traditional dresses they wear.  She read the entire report in Spanish. Daddy was her helper. In her report she said that she is going to go there with her dad when she turns 15.

She is doing such a wonderful job learning Spanish and is constantly surprising me with the things she knows.

Isabel did her report on India and gave Tristan a gem sticker to wear on her forehead. In any culture she is gorgeous!

Cancun For Thanksgiving

On the 17th of November we worked our way to LAX for my family’s reunion. We were all, except for my brother Ozzy in Chicago, spending a week in Cancun at the all inclusive The Moon Palace. We had the best time. I am making a book about our trip so I am only posting a few pictures.

Our room came with a back massage, pedicure and manicure for the whole family.

We had a huge tub in our room that the kids loved taking bubble baths in.

And had a very expensive Thanksgiving dinner with our room credits. Every room came with $1500 credit that you could only use at the resort in very specific places. One of those was this $100 per person dinner. Unfortunately, it really wasn’t worth it-but they did have chocolate covered strawberries that we loved. Just from our family alone we probably had 40-60  of them and they kept bringing more out.

Everyone left 2 days earlier than we did. And we got to ride bikes and play with the kids.

It was really windy that day.

We had a 7 hour layover in El Salvador so we went into the city.

Pictures will go here when I find them.

It was a wonderful trip. On the way home we stopped by at this diner to have some breakfast. My Love ordered this giant pancake. We were all exhausted from traveling all day and driving all night but it was all worth it! Our trip in a nut shell-book to come later.

How I wish we could afford to do this every 3 months like My Love and I did when we were living in Korea. May a little later we will!!!

The Musician

He has not had a real chance to play his guitar since he got it. The kids are with Troy and Daph for my birthday weekend and this morning I caught him doing this. He is just so handsome and extremely talented!!!

HE IS SO SO CUTE!!

I love many many things about my husband but this is one of the cutest things about him that I love. He enters every single contest that he possibly can. He has won concert tickets, shirts, game tickets, money, golf balls, key chains and lots more things I can’t remember at the moment. His latest contest he is trying to win is a years worth of burritos from his favorite place Mountain West Burrito. All you have to do is take a picture of you and your burrito ever time you come in and the owner will pick the most devoted customer. Here are just a very very small number of the pictures he submitted. I wish I had them all but these are the only ones I could find on his phone.

MWB Contest (7)IMG_0019IMG_0043IMG_0067.JPG (2)IMG_0130

One person took a picture of himself and a burrito skydiving so, My Love is worried that he is going to be the winner.

PS-We found out a month later that yes he was the winner.

That’s okay My Love was a little sad but he loved every single burrito he ate. Can’t wait to see his next contest entry-he’s just adorable!!!
