It’s our New Tradition
Last year about this time Dan and Caycie invited our family over along with Troy and Daph’s family, and Brent and Mandi’s family to go see the Festival of Light in Spanish Fork. They bought us all entrance tickets to the park for Christmas. They planned a soup dinner for us all at their house beforehand. Well, last year on that exact day I had gotten a new IUD and my stomach was not happy. I had some terrible cramps so we had to cancel.
We were so happy when they decided to do it again this year. With my IUD good for 5 years we had no problems this year. Caycie made 2 incredible soups- my favorite was the broccoli and cheese. She is such a great cook!!!! We almost didn’t make it to the festival because we were having such a great time just visiting, but in the end we did.
We had all the girls in our car who stuck their heads out the windows and sunroof. Troy and Daph had all the boys who looked out the back opened window.
I love this picture of Esher’s face-all that is good in life is in his face: Peace, Love, Happiness, Family and Friends.
So we have all decided to make this one of our new traditions-YEAH!!!

Worst Ward Christmas Party
So once again I am in charge of activities but this time it is through the Relief Society. We were in charge of the Christmas Party. Well while I was in Mexico they planned the whole thing and did nothing that I suggested. It is the biggest party of the year and they made it an appetizers and dessert-yep that is it for the biggest party of the year. I could not convince them of anything else when I returned so it was basically the worst party of the year. I told they all I highly disagreed with the “no dinner” idea and still they wouldn’t budge. At that point I walked away from all decision making so my name was NOT on this party. About 10 families showed up. Hardly anyone new was there and tons of food was left over. Nothing was spectacular-it just sucked!!! I think the thing that bothered me the most was that they all had a “let’s just get this over with” idea instead of what My Love and I always wanted out of the party was that it was the best party the ward had seen to date.
Our incredibly talented Paris signed up to bring a dessert so this is what she made. A cup cake cake with milk and a plate of cookies for Santa with the words “I been Good” on it. She said that is how a little kid would say it so that is why she wrote it like that. Then this other cake that looked like a wrapped present-that was my favorite!!
She is so so stinkin’ creative!!!
To top it all off no one from the primary presidency showed up so my love didn't have the keys to the bells the kids were going to use. Then he realized the pianist hadn’t shown up either so the kids had to sing with no piano because even though there where people there that could play the piano no one had the song book for the notes of the songs.
It was by far the worst party ever!

Tristan’s Christmas Performance
Sad working mom moment-I had to miss her program because I just couldn’t get off work today.
My Love was there and told me all about it and took these pictures. He is such an amazing substitute for me. I just love that he is such a wonderful daddy.

Amazing Race Finale
We had our usual dinner with our new dish Butter Chicken which was incredible. Ryan didn’t say anything for the longest time so I thought he didn’t like it but when he reached for seconds he said “Did you make that?” with some serious surprise in his voice. It was tasty!!!
The team we were all cheering for didn’t win. boo hoo!
We had no money for prizes but pops actually got more than 0 this time. I think Mackenlie was the big winner.
Can’t wait for next season!!!

Paris’ Ballroom Dance Performance
Paris and her friends Avery, Emma, and Anika are all in ballroom together. This was them before the performance being the goofy girls that they are.
When it came time to perform on stage they all did a great job.
The girls after their dance. Paris got a flower from her grandpa and daddy.
They 9minus Gary and Jo Ann) all got to meet some of my students from the high school who were there to perform themselves and some were there to watch. I felt so bad because I introduced all the kids and forgot about my wonderful husband until he nudged me and said “What about me?” I felt so bad- I never thought that in my life I would forget him for any reason. What a terrible wife!

Who Loves Daddy?
I had to take a picture of this. The kids and dog moved ever time My Love moved. At first he was at the counter and they were all there and then he went to sit in the chair to eat his ice cream and one by one they all gravitated to him. Sebastian being the first.
I’m thinking we all love him…. but how can we not- he’s just the most amazing dad and husband ever!!!

Late Night For T-Rex
I caught these 3 making popcorn for their movie on their late night. Tegan and Zoe have become really good friends now that they are in 2nd grade together. I love how comfortable both Tegan and Esher are around just girls. Hopefully that wont change!
Such cute kids!!! Their late night went until 10:30 pm.

Another Lost Tooth
Esher is just losing teeth every few weeks it seem like. Today he lost his tooth at school.Mrs. Anderson, the greatest tooth puller in town, took out his dangling tooth. She puts the teeth in a special little box so Tristan and Esher decided draw a picture and write a note to the tooth fairy.
They glued the box from Mrs. Anderson to the picture with the tooth inside-very clever.
Wrote this cute note.
And made sure there was a zip lock bag for the money to go into.
ADORABLE!!!!
The tooth fairy was so impressed she gave him $5 instead of $2. I suspect that from now on they will all begin to write notes and draw pictures with every tooth.

The Grandma
The grandma doesn’t come to the states very often, but when she does she always comes over to make rice for Paris and to see her boy Esher. She just loves our kids especially that boy. I love it when she comes because we get to catch up on everyone's life and eat some amazing dish she whips up for dinner. Maria gets to see her old friends in the neighborhood while Paris and Tristan tag along-they love being with Maria!!!
We had a wonderful visit, great food, and Paris’ favorite rice. I just wish she would move back-we miss her!!!!!
