Shakespearean Festival

I just love traditions when they are able to work out year after year. Last year we bought our tickets for this year’s plays. Thank goodness we did or else we wouldn’t have been able to go this year. This year we took Sebastian. I thought this would be a wonderful thing to do for My Love since he just adores his dog, so I was willing to do what it took to make it happen. No matter the sacrifice. Well, he tells me about 3 miles outside of Cedar City that he really didn’t want to bring the dog. That is so us, our lack of communication comes in the form of wanting to do too much for each other.

It really didn't help that My Love tried to poison Sebastian the night before. I was eating a  nectarine and he decided to let him eat the seed. Well, about 3 hours later he checked on line to see if it was safe for dogs to have it. It turns out that nectarine seeds contain cyanide poison and will KILL dogs or at best only tear up their intestine walls-I’m completely serious! At first I did think he was joking with me, but he kept reading  and I knew he wasn’t joking. He called the vet and they told him it would cost $75 just to come in, then they would put him under and pump his stomach I’m thinking hundreds of dollars. We just didn’t have that kind of money. After telling the vet what kind of dog he was and his size he suggested just to watch he closely over night. If he didn’t have a bloody stool he might be able to work it out of his system.Sorry Sebastian that was what I chose. We found out Sebastian is a very tough dog. He had no blood, but did have to go diarrhea about 12 times in the middle of the night the three nights we were at our hotel. My poor love was soooo exhausted every single day since he was the one taking him out every single hour!

Sebastian is becoming a great traveler. Okay, other than the 5 times we had to stop on the way down for his diarrhea. Esher loves to use him as a footrest-so super cute!

I LOVE THE KIDS’ TRADITION OF JUMPING ON THE BEDS!!!

      

It only cost an extra $15 to bring Sebastian. The hotel room was very nice! After the second time we had gone to our hotel door Sebastian would just walk right up to it and wait for us to get to him. Dogs are amazing sometimes! We had lunch in the park with Sebastian. The kids had Taco Bell and we had Top Spot-best sandwiches in town!

Sebastian still doesn’t know how to play fetch and drop he just plays keep away from all humans.

 

The first night My Love and I went to see 39 Steps-it was hilarious! The kids stayed at the child care center that is now way way too expensive. They had a long day so as soon as we got to the room they crashed.

Paris always chooses to sleep on the chair. She’s just crazy. We bought her a beautiful bedroom set that she never uses in the summer. She always falls asleep on the couch.

 

My handsome boy was up bright and early with his dog and an apple. He just loves apples and Sebastian!!!

We Have Such Talent!

Tristan begged me for this material at Wal-Mart yesterday because she wanted to make a shirt. How could I say no!!! She created this shirt all by herself. She even made a flower in the front made with the same material. She is really good at folding material and paper to look like a flower. We were VERY impressed!! It is her very first sewing project. She has always said she wants to be a fashion designer. We believe she will be incredible at it and she will be the first beautiful one out there. Have you ever noticed that all women fashion designers are seriously butt ugly? People will buy her clothes just because she herself looks beautiful in them- no supermodels needed.

To go with the new shirt she made this skirt that is just as adorable!!! I love the accessory belt she made for the skirt.

Paris of course had to make a skirt as well. She just can’t resist making something when someone is working with material.I love how hers is not a straight cut-it was an accident but it turned out super cute!!!

So much talent in our little home!!!

Parents Of The Year

So, today  Esher asked if he could ride on the outside of the car. I thought “How often does anyone get to do that & how fun would it be to do?” So I said “yes” and My Love who is more like his mom said “no”.  My Love being the sweetheart that he is gave in. Paris jumped on the chance to do it too. My Love was still very nervous about the whole thing so he tightly held on to Esher’s hands. It was only in our neighborhood, but the kids just loved it!

Christina’s Baby Shower

Christiana up the street is having a baby so Miurvy (my companion) came up with a  brilliant idea to through Christina a baby shower at my house. I don’t ever host parties like these I just don’t feel comfortable doing it, but parties for our friends are always easy and a total blast, so those I don’t mind at all-I love them. Well, Miurvy at the last minute pulled out, I’m talking the day before the party. She had forgotten about a family reunion. It made me more nervous to be all on my own but then when she said she couldn’t even do her portion of the food I was a little upset… okay really upset. So like a crazy girl I made 40 crepes and cut all the fruit all by myself. I think this will be the last one of Miurvy’s ideas that I will go along with.

Luckily, a few of the ward members showed up helping me feel more at ease. Janette was there being the amazing friend and neighbor that she is, so I tried focusing on her to comfort me during this little venture I was forced into.

In the middle of the shower this guy came by to open up the fire hydrant and knock over and break our mail box- lovely.

The kids loved it!

 

So, in the end everyone did have a good time telling stories about embarrassing baby moments. Janette had way too many, but only shared a few. I think I have to corner her one day so she will tell me more. She did tell me some of them involve my kids….maybe I don’t want to hear them.

Christina ended up with some very cute things. My kids gave her some gifts as well that they hand-made themselves-so cute!!

You Know… For Kids

Hudsucker Proxy is one of  My Love’s favorite movies about the guy who invented the Hula Hoop and my title comes from one of his favorite scenes from the movie. All three kids were out today hula hooping in the front yard-it was adorable! They are all so very very good at it!!

Sebastian had Lucy come over and play. He just loves his little girlfriend from up the street. Since they were puppies she can out run, out tackle him and out smart-what can I say..she’s a girl!

Malikk and Vica came over to watch the kids and chat.

I just love our neighborhood!!!

Milk Bubbles

The things I let my kids do. They made a huge mess making these milk bubbles but they had so much fun doing it. I love how children get so much pleasure out of the simplest things, how can you say no.
