Another Game with Tristan & Esher

Malcolm is still not doing well and neither is Paris so, Tristan and Esher scored another game with us.

We were sitting in our normal seats by 1st base when the guy behind us asked if we wouldn’t mind moving to seats on the first row behind the dugout. His friends were in the seats next to us here and he wanted his group of four to sit together with them. Could this be true? We were just talking about this yesterday. We have never sat behind the dugout and we were just saying how sweet it would be if we did. 

We took all our stuff and headed to our new seats.

Esher was taught about rally hats today. Uncle Price was also at the game in the owners suite. We had the best view of the game and we were on TV a ton. It really was mostly My Love and Esher.

Ozzy, from the White Soxs tossed Esher a ball. He was so happy! He handed the ball to Tristan since he got one yesterday. I just love my sweet sweet boy!!!

                                  Sadly, The Rockies lost 4-6.

My Love yelled out for Alana and said “We Love You Alana.” She turned and waved at him. She knows so so much about baseball and the Rockies but we both wish she was a little bit cuter.

We met Uncle Price for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory later on that night. My Love is helping him buy 2 new computers.

The Best Week Ever!!!

All week long we had a game each night. Price has never hooked us up like this before-It was incredible!!! It seemed like we sat in a different spot each day and we were so lucky to be able to take our kids to at least one game. Paris continued to be sick for most of the week so she only went to the fireworks game at the end o f the week. Joy and Eric were nervous about Malcolm so they didn’t go to any games with us. The benefactors to all this were Tristan and Esher. They got 3 games this week. Esher being our new baseball fan fanatic was so much fun to be with during each game. It was just so much fun teaching him all about the score board, players, umpires, different plays and strategies. My Love was in heaven every moment with his two kids teaching them everything he could-he is such an amazing dad!!!

The first game we forgot our camera. We got to go to the Club seats with Price and Mae. I just love hanging out with them, they are so much fun!!! The Rockies won 3-2.

This was the second game and we had the seats down the first base line. It was nice that it was cloudy because the sun is brutal at these seats. Esher was so cute watching the players warm up.

Spillbourg, Spilly as we like to call him, tossed Esher a ball and from that moment on he became Esher’s favorite player. Okay, besides Tulo and Cargo.

Tristan and I were sporting the sunglasses.She wore her cute pink Rockies sunglasses from last year, I can’t believe she knew where they were. I very rarely wear mine but in these seats they are a must!!

The Rockies lost 2-3. We stayed in our seats until Dinger walked by so we could take a picture with him. We love that he always walks by these seats!

Then the most amazing thing happened. We took our sweet old time leaving our seats and were eventually asked to leave. We took the long way around the park taking our time. My love was walking with Tristan a few feet ahead while Esher and I stopped to look into the fountain area. Then I heard my love whistle to us. Yes, just like he does for Sebastian. He was right below the announcers running up the stairs towards them. I grabbed Esher and ran. My Love had asked them over the wall if Tristan could take a picture with them. Tom said “Why don’t you come up here and take a proper picture?” We got to meet the Rockies announcers and the kids took a picture with them.  It was Tom, Drew and The Cowboy, Tracy. My Love totally regrets not being in the picture. The next day My Love contacted Drew from a blog he follows to thank him for the picture.

  It was the very best night ever, minus the loss!!!!

Why Can’t We Be Friends?

Sebastian has to stay outside the whole time we are at Price and Mae’s. Half of the family is allergic to him.

Well, they have an adorable outdoor cat. He is the best cat ever and Sebastian wants to be his best friend. The cat will tolerate Sebastian as long as my love is there with him, but the minute it is just the two of them he wont have it. Sebastian is constantly chasing the cat under the porch. Poor Sebastian can’t understand why they can’t be friends. So, he is constantly looking for the cat. All day he spends trying to get the cat to come out of his hiding spot to play. All day the cat is trying to sneak around the house without being detected by Sebastian.

Unfortunately for Sebastian, it’s a love hate relationship he will never understand.

Family Reunion: The Hot Springs

Our first family reunion was over. It was really pretty miserable except for when we would leave the actual ranch, those times we loved. Hopefully, the next reunion will be perfected and we will get a decent place to stay with a few more amenities-you know like clean running water, electricity for our entire stay without any outages and possibly no mice!

We went to the Hot Spring that we have driven past every single trip to Colorado. We have always wanted to stop,but we have never had enough time or money. We planned for it this time so we were so excited to go.

We absolutely loved it!!

I only have a few pictures because my camera battery died. Everyone did the slides-even me with my wonderful love. The springs were warm and very clean. We loved it all and we can’t wait to go back!!!

The dogs were not allowed in the park so I took Sebastian and Malcolm to a local dog kennel. It is illegal to tie up your dogs anywhere in Glenwood Springs- funny. It was only $15 for the whole day-yeah! There were 4 other Goldens when my love walking in to pick Sebastian up-he was in heaven!!

The Curse of the Cabin Continues:

On our way out of town Price stopped to get gas. My Love being extremely thoughtful parked behind him so he wouldn’t have to take a pump spot from someone else. The minute he parked behind him I didn’t feel comfortable about it at all. But, I talked myself out of saying anything because I was being selfish. I walked Sebastian over to play in the grass when I noticed a lady backing up straight into our car. I knew she was going to hit us because she wasn’t turning her wheels at all. I let out a huge scream when she ran into our bumper. It was so loud Mae and the kids all jumped out of the car and Price heard me from inside the store. I was so mad at myself for not having my love move the car when I had clearly felt bad about parking there. Why do I not listen to the Sprit’s promptings immediately????

I was so pissed!!! She had no insurance information and claimed to be on her way to get her insurance card. Okay, it was 6:30 at night on a Saturday…really, that’s what she came up with. While talking to her she said she had been driving for 4 hours, she was tired and her dog was in the way when she was trying to back up. She also said that the address on her license was not valid because she was moving soon. I wrote it down anyway.  I did truly feel sorry for her. She looked way older than me. You could tell from her face, clothes and car she had and continued to have a hard life…she ended up being 4 years younger than me- wow, I couldn’t believe it. She did keep apologizing which I truly appreciated. I wasn’t as pissed as I had been at first. I did feel sorry for her and I was a little more compassionate towards the end. I can’t say I was anywhere near Christ like compassionate, but I was better than at first.

Two months later this was all settled by our insurance company. The damage doesn’t look too bad and the $632 we got for it unfortunately wasn’t able to go towards the damage. Story to come later but the money ended up saving our butts at the end of August. It really ended up becoming a huge blessing in disguise! The Lord definitely works in very mysterious ways!!!!!

When Malcolm got home, one side of his body because paralyzed. It lasted for about 4 days.The vet could never figure out why.  My love said that  the cures of the cabin continued. We were excited for it to hopefully end with this one, and it did!!

That night our sweet princess Paris got really sick on our way home. She slept in the car while we ate. Tristan had felt sick at the Springs, but her nap there really helped her. On the way home we ate at  Bo Beau’s pizza place. They had the best stuffed mushrooms!

Family Reunion: Hanging At The Ranch

Today half the family went to Hanging Lake with Eric. Troy woke up terribly sick so his family stayed behind. We had originally planned on going until, Mae talked to a lady at the store about how difficult the hike was and that there were no dogs allowed on the trail. We really wanted Sebastian to go. We were also worried about the kids making all the way to the top after we heard how difficult it was, so we all stayed behind to explore the cabin area.

We took the dogs with us to the small cabin area.

These cabins don’t have electricity or water, but the area is so much nicer than where our cabin is.

The dogs played in the small pond next to the cabins.

My Love pushed Sebastian in the water. He was too afraid to jump in himself.

Kintah wouldn’t get anywhere near the pier because Troy had pushed her off the edge the day before a number of times and she wasn’t falling for it today.

My Love tried everything to get him to fetch the tennis ball in the water, but he wouldn’t do it.

My love played catch with Esher instead.

They had a cute wagon in the eating area.

The two dogs were exhausted when we got back. Malcolm wasn’t allowed to go with us-he was ready to play.

Sebastian was on the cool floor and Kintah on the couch snuggling with My Love.

We took our family pictures that day. Pictures to come later when I get them from Jo Ann. My Indian soup and chicken turned out amazing, despite the constant power outages, and everyone loved it!!!
