Boo turns 5 OR IS IT 35.

Today we celebrated Boo’s birthday. Mia went all out and bought balloons, hats, plates and cups for the occasion. We had it at our house since its bigger than hers and she wanted Boo to be able to run around with the kids.

Boo did his usual run around the yard pooping and peeing. He loves our yard!

 

 

The girls worked on the decorations. They even decorated Boo’s hat, good job girls!

 

 

Then we all got to make our own pizza.

 

 

 

 

Paris made a special cake for Boo.

 

 

Mia fed Boo the piece with no chocolate frosting that Paris took out for Boo. She knows chocolate isn’t good for dogs. He ate it right out of her mouth. 

We had such a great dinner together and Mia also brought ice cream for all of us.

Tristan was so funny because she put ice cream in this dog’s mouth.She’s really funny!!

We all took a group picture with our party hats on of course!! Mia says animals and kids are the hardest ones to take pictures of. And we saw why. The minute the camera was just about to take the picture Boo would move, but right before that he was super still.  It made for 3 very funny pictures.

Tristan took control and held him for the last one. Good job T-Rex!

The kids each had a gift for Boo.

 

 

He loved them all. He ate a peanut butter cookie, played with the ball making it squeak, and caught the toys. The kids were so happy he loved it all!!

Boo had gifts for them. 

 

 

Boo and Mia are leaving for California on Friday and we don’t know when they will be back.  We are really going to miss them A LOT!!!!

It was a wonderful party, we all had a great time!!

Breakfast for Dinner anyone?

Janette my neighbor is still without a husband so we invited her for dinner but we had only planned to have leftovers for dinner and all we had were enough eggs, ham and bacon for more people, so breakfast it was for dinner.

I made crepes and Jared made some amazing eggs with ham, cheese and mushrooms! Janette brought toppings for it all and juices.

Of course we had to invite Boo and Mia.

The meal turned out amazing… we should do breakfast for dinner more often!!!

Esher had the opening prayer in church today and he just walked right up all by himself.  He was so cute and prayed that everyone drove home safely and that they took care of their babies if they had babies. The older kids in the back started laughing so he started getting nervous and eventually couldn’t close his prayer and started crying. Jared ran up to rescue him. He closed his prayer and then really started crying.  We took him outside and told him he had done an amazing job and we were so proud of him for saying different important things instead of the usual stuff.  That his prayers should always come from his heart, thats what Heavenly Father likes best. He said he didn’t like it when kids laughed at him. He did eventually calm down and walked back to primary.  He is so tender hearted sometime.  I’m really glad he is because it will make him a much better husband that way!!!!

Boo has always been nervous around Jared but tonight he finally bonded with him.  He ran outside with him earlier and then after dinner Boo kept sitting next to Jared.  Jared loves dogs, actually all animals (that’s where Tristan gets it from) and had always been sad when Boo rejects him.  We also think it helped when Richard was in town and Jared walked into their house and Richard knew and accepted him.  I guess Boo figures if he is good enough for his dad he must not be that bad.

 

Paris made her own drum set today.

The Draper Temple

You know how you build something up in your head and it’s always just roses and sunshine as you picture the whole thing…..ya definitely wasn’t how I pictured it! Not many roses and pretty cloudy from where I was standing.

We have known for a month that we had tickets for the Draper Temple Open House on this Saturday and Jared and I were so excited that we had the opportunity to take the kids. Especially Paris since she can’t wait to do baptisms.

It all started like this. Paris brings out a cute dress to wear but it is a dress you would wear to school DEFINITELY NOT A TEMPLE. She was whining about it saying that's the ONLY one she wanted blah blah blah. Jared was about 20 minutes later than we thought he would, so I had to listen to her the whole time.  Jared is so much better at dealing with things like this than I am. So I’m a little stressed but I know that Satan would love it if I started yelling at everyone so I try my hardest to separate myself from everything and just continue getting ready. I finally told her to show it to her dad. When he got home she started crying because Jared said NO. Not exactly how my temple visiting day was pictured in my mind.  We are all finally ready getting in the car. I really wanted the kids to get in a more spiritual mood so I brought the Living Scripture Videos for the kids to watch on the way up. Paris loses it again because she wanted to pick her movie and she didn’t want to see this one…so more crying. Then the other two start arguing about who get to pick the movie on the way back and Paris gets in on it how she never gets to pick and it’s her turn, on and on. I’m just dying inside and Jared know it so he takes over and settles it all. They ended up watching the Alma story all the way up. I’m upset but very proud of myself for not yelling, at least I didn’t do what Satan knew would really ruin everything. We finally arrived and had to go to a different lot because our designated lot was already full.  We sat and waited for about an hour before we could get on the bus. Luckily Jared had his I-Pod Phone (as Esher calls it) so that, entertained the kids. I was so tired since I really haven't slept very well without Jared all week and this morning I had to get up at 6:45am to get the oil changed in the car for our trip that's coming up to California. I kept falling asleep, but not resting…bad combo!

We finally get on the packed bus to go to the temple. The kids are doing much better and so am I.

We ran into some neighbors, The Blacks and The Thibaults.

They were kind enough to take a picture of us.

 

Then it started again Tristan was whining because Paris stepped on her, Esher kept getting cookies taking a bite and putting them back on the trays, so I was walking around with about 7 cookies looking like a greedy cookie monster and my feet started killing me and I was starving actually we all were. We left to catch the bus back to our car.  The entire tour in the temple took us about 45 minutes because they has so many people there we had to keep stopping.  Tristan saw one of her friends from school.  We finally got to our car at 7:24pm. We arrived at 5:00pm.

DEFINETELY NOT WHAT I HAD PICTURED!!!

We found this cool place thanks to our navigation system where we had some yummy Chicago style pizza. I can make our car payment this month with a clean conscience.

They had these big windows where you could see the cooks. The kids loved it!!

Paris took the camera and started taking pictures of everything.

We all played patty cake while we waited for the pizza to come. 

 

 

The pizza was really good!! Jared was watching the game on TV.

Well not the sunshine and roses I picture, but we all survived with no scares. The kids really loved it. Esher asked Jared as he was putting him to bed that he wished he could go to the temple again. Jared told him he could since the Daybreak one will have an open house this summer. He was soooooo excited!!!!

Paris says she will get married there since it was the first temple she has ever been through. Cute!!

 

 

Chuck E. Cheese

Jared and I went to breakfast at the Cracker Barrel while the kids were at their primary activity. Jared and I love going out for breakfast, but we never really get a chance with all the kids.  It always ends up being too expensive for me to want to do it too often, but alone I LOVE IT!!

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN TALKING AND CATCHING UP!!!

Janette my neighbor and friend was also husbandless this week so on Saturday while Jared went to work to make sure all was okay while he was gone we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese.

Janette got a great $10 coupon for 100 tokens so the kids just played and played!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

              Zoe won a bunch of tickets!

Janette and I just watched them, ate, and talked.

Paris won the largest amount of tickets on the Wheel Of Fortune….500 WOW!!

She had to wait for the guy to return with more tickets because the machine ran out.

Tristan spent a lot of time on this spider web game… so cute!!

 

 

We all had a great time.  I loved it because this is the second time Janette and I go t to do something together as friends!! The first was Seven Peaks last summer. I really like her a lot so I need to just do more things with her!
