Daddy’s Finally Home!!!

Paris wanted to surprise daddy with his favorite cake. All the kids wanted some of the batter so they each got either a lick of the bowl or a spoonful.  Well i didin’t hink anything of it and just baked it for the amount of time the box said, not realizing we had taken 1/3 of the batter out.  Needless to say the cake was not one of her best.

Everyday at least one kid asked about daddy this week.  I think it was the longest week for us all.  I just can’t sleep without him!!!!!

Daddy’s favorite gift… cake batter!!

 

From Esher he got a cut out of a penguin and a bird.

Now it was time to see what daddy brought them…

 

Tristan had a red Chinese dress she loved but it started to tear so daddy had the great idea of replacing it! And ,of course, it had to be purple since she loves any shade of purple.  She kept talking about how all the purples were different and how much she loved that!

Besides the dress she got some different shades of purple M&M’s from the 3 story M&M store in Time Square.

 

Paris got a Statue of Liberty M&M dispenser with different shades of blue M&M’s

  

Esher got a M&M car dispenser with red, white, and black M&M’s.

And I of course got the best gift of all …..My Love safe in my arms all night!!!!

Friday Friends

Well it’s Friday the 13th and its our turn to babysit.  My friend Mia was kind enough to help me until Jared arrived from NY.  We ordered Chinese talked and babysat. I’m so glad it is getting warmer because that always makes it so much easier to babysit.  I bought new shovels and pails for the kids so they would have new things to use outside. They made this giant cake.  I love having a sandbox!!!

 

 

They made the top layer of the cake detachable. This piece is special because it is for Daddy when he arrives.

  

The kids all did their usual stuff.

Esher tried singing for the first time and now loves Rock Band.  So cute!!

 

It was a perfect night. We were sad the Lloyds didn’t make it.

Maya Turns 5

Today Maya is having a big birthday party and they invited us and 2 of the Fox’s.  The kids have been counting down the days and have been discussing what to wear.  Tristan had to wear one of her favorite dress-up dresses with the jewels hanging off the shoulders and Esher wanted to be a tiger like the tiger that Princess Jasmine has as a pet. He really didn’t want to go as a Prince.

I dropped them all off and Nate picked them up.  I got Gracie from school and straight to the party we went.  They all wanted to watch a movie on the way. Normally we don’t watch the TV in the car if a trip is shorter than 45 minutes, but when they are with friends I always give in.

Esher changed in the car when we arrived.

They all had a wonderful time there. Paris just played with Bradon and Gracie while the other kids did all the party stuff.  From what I hear The Beast made an appearance.  The kids all thought it was Russ (Maya’s Dad) but he said he was on the computer the whole time playing Webkinz.  So I guess it really was The Beast from Beauty and The Beast! Thanks for having our kids- it was a blast!!

Yeah!! Dinner at the Mullins

Seriously, Cayce is one of those people I just love to sit and talk to for hours but our schedules rarely give us a chance.  Our wonderful husbands are in NY together so we decided to have dinner at least one night together while they were gone. The kids skipped gymnastics so we could go to the Mullin’s house for dinner.

 

 

 

Cayce made the best BBQ Chicken Pizza with fresh cilantro.  The kids played all over the house while Cayce and I just sat and talked.  I love the conversations that we have because they all seem genuinely real. I love talking to REAL people!!!  We stayed way too late but we couldn’t help, we just talked and talked and before we knew it was LATE.  Thank you Cayce for a wonderful night we all really loved it!!!!

Let It Snow, Again?

Today it snowed a lot!  All of our streets had finally melted away and in one day it was all back.  I really do love the snow and love snowy days.  My friend Jackie says it’s only because I have a giant 4x4 car, so I don’t fear for my life. That really does help!!

We miss you a lot my love I’m so glad you arrived safely and are scoping out all the great places for us to eat when we all go to NY in June! We love and miss ya lots!!

 

 

 

Bitter Plus No Sweet Good-Bye Just Bitter

Everyone left our home by 8:15, unfortunately it didn’t give us much time to spend together since Jared was leaving at 10pm for a 5 day trip to New York. He and Dan are doing some training for a new uniform designing software. Dan was picking him up and he still had to pack, exercise, shower, watch the Amazing Race, and kiss me good-bye, wink wink!

When it came time to say good-bye the kids just lost it.  All of them were crying and holding on to daddy hoping he wouldn’t leave.  But he had to catch his flight and Dan was waiting outside.  I had to run and get the camera so we would remember this forever.  I just don’t know how we are going to leave them for 2 weeks on our 15th wedding anniversary….that will be hard!!

 

Jared was really surprised at the kids, since they never do this, but then he realized they are usually sleeping when he leaves for the Philippines which he will do in a month and a half. That time it’s for 2 weeks. DON’T TELL THE KIDS!!
