One of my students from Brazil invited us over for her farewell. She only had a 6 month student visa. A lot of the ESL kids showed up. She is a super smart girl and was sent her by her state so she could improve her English then she would be able to volunteer for the Olympics and World Cup. Her state sent about 100 students..such a great idea! Hopefully one day we can go visit her.

Ski Lessons
I believe this is Esher’s first time really skiing and getting ski lessons. He is super excited as he always is for everything in life. At their school they have a program where the kids take lessons four time during the season for $163 each and get to ski for 5 hours total. 2 hours are the lesson with the instructor and 3 hours are on your own. Well, if you drive them there and back you get a ski pass for the day for yourself. So I have volunteered to drive so my love can come up at 6 to join the kids and ski with them for FREE! All we have to d is pay for skis and Paris’ pass for the night. Twice the lady in charge of it had an extra pass so Paris went for free.
My Love was a little nervous at first with the kids because he thought he would be chasing them both down the side of the mountain but they surprised him and were incredible. Esher learned so so much in one day!
Before they all took the lift daddy had to see how well they all did since we haven't skied in a couple of years, so we did the bunny slope.
Paris of course was a master at it right away- I love this girls adventurous spirit and ability to do just about anything perfectly!!!
Pizza all the way for the younger two
A couple minor crashes for Esher
Some love and encouragement from daddy
A daddy daughter moment
And yes then they were ready for the big leagues..the lift & the top of the mountain.
Esher did it without falling. Tristan didn't fall once the entire day.
The Blanchard ski patrol
Such a fun fun day!!!

Ice Cream & Cup Cakes
WE had to go get some of our favorite ice cream at Macey’s and yummy cup cakes at The Cup Cake Chic. We use to love The Sweet Tooth Fairy but they got super greedy by raising their prices and putting less frosting on the cup cakes…and I love frosting. My sweet love found a new AWESOMER place called The Cupcake Chic which we love love love and the best part…they have plenty of frosting on the cupcakes.
As we stepped out of the car Esher climbed right out with his headphones on his head from the movie he was watching in the car. It took us a few minutes to finally notice and when we mentioned it to him, he still had not idea what we were talking about. It was so funny!!!
Everyone on Facebook thinks my love is a stockholder in this company because he posts at least 3 times a week that he is there. But the only reason why he does that is because every time you post it he gets a free mini cupcake that he brings home to me-yay! And you wonder why we are 20 pounds over weight!!!
We do love this place!

Where’s Sebastian
Sebastian’s favorite thing to do is make sure he is in your way every time you are trying to do something. He goes out of his way to lay exactly where you don’t want him to lay. Today I was making the bed and by the time I took the new sheets out of the closet he was on the naked bed. I thought that as soon as I put the fitted sheet over his head he would get the hint …but no he did not!

There Will Never Be A TV In Your Room!
“There will NEVER be a TV in your room” has always been what we tell the kids…. Houston we have a problem!
The kids love using their Netflix account to stream movies and shows. Now they are streaming them to their portable devices in their rooms. Is this like having a TV in your room??? What do we do now???

New Generation Toys
Zoe and TJ came over to play with their Christmas presents with Tristan and Esher. It was so interesting to me that their favorite toys were all electronic this year. Welcome to the true 21st century. We are only 13 years into it but I believe it will be the most technically advanced and innovative century. At least I will get to see the first half-EXCITING!!!

New Year’s Eve
Early New Year’s Eve we left to come back home. It was so cute how each of the kids had a cat sleeping with them.
We left today because Jared and I have to go back to work on Wednesday so we didn’t want to drive back on Tuesday and be super tired the next day. Monday was our best option-sad face here.
While traveling through the mountains we noticed it was –5 degrees outside. Wow would it have sucked if we got in an accident or our car broke down right then.
We made it home 30 minutes before midnight. We watched the ball drop, kissed, and went to bed.
Welcome 2013!!!
This year I am going to give up sodas for the entire year. Let’s see how it goes.

Marlee & Tristan’s Birthday
Charlotte was so super cool and made this incredible cake for both Tristan and Marlee. On one side it gave Tristan’s age and on the other it gave Marlee’s. She really is such a nice person and so creative!!
Tristan didn’t realize she would be getting any gifts, she thought all the gifts were for Marlee. But of course she would since all of our aunts, uncles, and cousins were invited and they would never show up without a gift. She was so excited!
My dad of course BBQ’d some yummy carne asada.
My sweet grandma stayed with Esher as he slept.
Fanny who is amazingly talented in braiding hair did all of our hair, even mine. I do wish I had this talent.
I love my grandma so very very much… she is the kindest most amazing person I have and probably will ever meet.
It was so much fun catching up with everyone and seeing them all again.
