The cabin was such a challenge, but every time we left we had the best time ever. Today we went to The Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs-IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
Kira had found it on line as something to do in the area. We were originally going to go horseback riding: $40 for 2 hours. The adventure park was the same price for the entire day…I’m so so happy we went to the adventure park. Nico tried his hardest to convince us to let Esher stay, but we knew he would have been so sad to miss all of this. He loves things like this!
We got to ride in the open jeep down the hill to our car.
At the park, kids went ahead of us. I absolutely love going places with the Price and Mae Blanchard kids because they are just so wonderful with our kids and the very best company with no drama!!!
We stayed for 8 hours.
We all, yes, even me, absolutely loved the Alpine Slide that overlooked the gorgeous canyon below. We did this about 10 times!
I would only do the slide with My Wonderful Love-I realize how save I feel with him and how much I trust him-yeah!
Tarl is just awesome with Esher. He is always willing to go with him.
We stopped for a quick lunch at the restaurant- it had the most gorgeous view!
Esher was so cute when he said “Mom, the cars look so small it looks like I can pick them up with my fingers.”
We did all the rides at least twice but mostly a ton of times since it was pretty empty. I thought that would be the only thing to ruin our day, if the park was super crowded, because it was a Saturday during summer vacation, but it wasn’t at all.
This was Price’s favorite ride!! He got My Love to do it a few times with him. This swung right over the canyon with nothing underneath you.
Esher and Paris were going to try it until they saw how fast it swung with the first person that went. They both quickly got out of line and stood by me.
My Love was so cute cheering Tristan on who normally doesn’t like this ride.
The view behind the trampoline is just breathtaking!
Tristan had the hardest time staying up-it was very funny to watch.
Esher was determined to reach the top of the climbing wall so he kept at it until he did. That is so Esher!
He told me every single detail and thought he had from the bottom until he reach the top. I just love this boy and his love of life!!!
His excitement for it made Tristan try it once. She didn't get far but she tried.
Paris did the other sides she hadn’t conquered yet. She is amazing at rock climbing and such a good rappeller too.
That was the end of our wonderful day at the adventure park.
Price and Mae’s family had left without us so by the time we got to the ranch no one was at the bottom. We thought that they had been picked up by someone. We found out later that they had walked the mile and a half up hill and Price was in a lot of pain the next day because of it. We tried and tried to call someone but no one would answer any of the phone numbers they had given us. We always had to have someone take us to our cabin and back down to our cars, but there was no signal from the ranch to their phones. My Love suggested they get walkie talkies but they just said they tried it once and that was it. Seriously, this place was so so unorganized!!! We saw one of the workers out in the field so we asked them to get someone to pick us up. We sat at the bottom of the hill for about 30 minutes. I jumped into the tractor with Tristan and Esher so the mosquitoes wouldn’t eat us alive. I was really starting to get mad so I told the kids to count to 10, because at 10 I was going to do something. My plan was to take the truck that was at the bottom of the hill to the cabin. I figured there was no way every one of them at the ranch had a key to every single vehicle so the key had to be somewhere in the truck. When we got to the number 10 an ATV came down the hill. Mae was so mad at the ranch people she had yelled at them when she had gotten to the top. The guy that picked us up was telling us all about it. This is very out of character for Mae, but she had had it with all the problems.
