Paris had an amazing week with her daddy. While we were in Colorado my love saw that he could get tickets to all 8 Harry Potter movies for $40 a person. My Love knew this would be perfect for him and Paris.
Paris was in heaven with this super coke machine that could make you any combination soda you wanted. She so looked forward to it every night they went.
I’m so glad my love had this to do because things are going so badly at ProLook. Everyone was forced to take this week off as a furlough. There is no money and it really is very stressful trying to figure out what to do. I have decided to try and find a job just incase ProLook closes we can at least make our house payment. After much much thought and prayers we have decided to do something super crazy….We are buying a new car.
One of the days my love was getting ready to leave I got a strong impression to tell him that we should buy a car now. He looked at me as if I was so crazy, but we had no time to talk about it since he was literally getting in the car. I got home really late that night so we didn’t talk then and he slept in so I was dying to talk to him about it. The minute he woke up I presented my thoughts. If all hell breaks loose and ProLook closes down there is no way we can afford to keep the $775 a month Armada. With no job we wont be able to qualify for a car loan meaning that we would only have the 2001 Civic as our family car. If we need to declare bankruptcy then we will get an interest rate of 21%-29% on any car loan we want for the next 7-10 years because we would definitely need a new car sooner than later. I talked to Terri and Tonya about this and both of them said they had that exact thing happen to them when they had to declare bankruptcy. I don’t want a 10 year old car as our only transportation. When I told him all of these reasons My Love finally agreed to talk to someone. We called our bank and they told us they could get us a loan for 3.65% on the Armada to refines it, it was at 5.5% but leave it for the same amount of years lowering our payment by $75 a month. He said if we bought a car for $20,000 they could do it for 3.4% with a $350 payment per month. We could do $350 better than $775 for the Armada.
We talked about the kind of car My Love would like. The only requirement was that it had A/C since the Civic hasn’t for a couple summers now- My love hates it. We went to the Nissan dealership and worked our way into a 2011 Nissan Altima with A/C and Bluetooth for $16,668 with less than 7000 miles on it. We got 4 oil changes and tinted windows for free. We got the extended warranty and no money down plus tax all for under $20,000. My Loves’ credit was at 720 so it was no problem getting a low interest rate. We had a new car-yay!!!
The next morning I was up early looking at the paper work when I saw that for the extended warranty they had put a $100 deductible. I was so super pissed because the Armada has one for $50 that I never noticed and was super pissed about 2 years later when we went to use it. They are so good at distracting your eyes from that line. So as soon as we could we went in to talk to the loan guy, Cody. I told Cody I had a problem with the warranty and I wanted it changed to say $0 for any services. My Love thought I was joking and let out a little laugh thinking Cody would never do it. But I told him that if he couldn’t change it I didn't want it! He didn’t even blink and said “Okay, let’s do it.” My Love was completely shocked and I was stoked. Jared loves his new car especially the A/C 
My Love really wanted us to sell the Civic but I told him that if we kept it, it would save us hundreds on gas and I didn’t mind driving it without the A/C. And if we do have to sell the Armada, that right now has $10,000 in equity that could go to pay part of the Altima, we will still have two cars left and not have to get another loan anytime soon. He finally agreed and now we have 3 cars. Our insurance only went up by $35 a month.
We hope ProLook doesn’t close down but I know with all my heart that if it does the Lord will take of us!!!
