International Night

We have been invited to join an International Food Group. Okay, it really wasn’t a group just an Italian food cook-off once about 3 months ago between 2 of the couples. They wanted to get a cool group of families together to make it a little bigger and we were invited-yeah!

Tonight is Indian food and we are making all new stuff. My Love is making Naan and I am making Sagg Shorba. We have never made either, but both were delicious.

My cute love had the best helper.

Not sure how many pieces of her hair made it into the naan.

He is just the most handsome cook!!!! He was so nervous because everything the instructions said would happen never did-ooops!

Our super yummy naan-everyone was talking about it!!!

Paris had Siena come over early to help with the chocolate covered strawberries which are not Indian.

I was so glad when my soup turned out because what everyone else brought was just incredible. We are by far the amateurs in this group.

Next time (September) we are all attempting to cook Chinese food.

Esher played with Kintah most of the time since none of this kind of food looks good to him. I think he only had rice. We are going to have to leave him behind when we travel the world with our kids or else bring lots of oatmeal.

Kintah was so good with him. She loves the kids. My favorite is when she takes turns sleeping with each of them. Sebastian is all about his dad but Kintah is all about the kids and being around them..

At Steve & Pam’s

Today we went to Steve & Pam’s for some empanadas. I promised Steve I would make them for him about a year ago so we have finally done it. They turned out pretty good and everyone loved them.  My favorite line was from Wes when he said “ Wow, these really don’t suck!”They have a beautiful home with an amazing theater. The kids watched a movie while we got to visit and laugh together. We loved hearing how everyone met-all the stories were so funny. We don’t spend enough time with them so we are hoping we can get together every other month. We truly love Steve and Pam and their wonderful family.

Jo Ann missed it all since she was coming down with the stomach flu and stayed home-we missed her!

Children’s Museum With Papa & Grandma

So, we got the best treat ever today- Gary and Jo Ann took all the kids overnight.  Paris had a 6 person coupon for them to the Children’s Museum so that is where they ended up. They all loved it!

BYU Soccer Camp

We truly believe that Paris has the potential to be a very good soccer player so, some how we found the $119 for her to take the BYU soccer camp in hopes that it will improve her game.

I was really proud of her on the first day not for soccer stuff but for her bravery. I had to leave her there by herself in a sea of about 300 kids or more that she didn’t know. She told me she would be fine and went to sit next to a group of people without hesitation. I couldn’t believe it! At her age I would have been terrified and begged my mom to stay with me if I didn’t have anyone there I knew. She amazes us every day!!!

She had a great time at the camp, but swears she didn’t learn anything. Days later we saw her playing around with a group of kids and she was doing things we have never seen her do before…so yes, she did learn something. She had so much more control of the ball. Thank goodness, $119 is a lot of money for 16 hours of  babysitting an 11 year old.

Esher loved going to pick her up so he could have some playing time too.

I think Esher would make a great goalie because he has no fear of the ball.

Tristan just went to look cute.

We love this girl!!! Can’t wait for Fall soccer to begin so we can really see her in action.

Mother-Daughter Sundae Activity 001Mother-Daughter Sundae Activity 004

We created our own sundaes and played a game. We got to see how much we know about each other. I got all of Tristan's right and missed one of Paris’ questions. I picked Sleeping Beauty as her favorite movie when it’s actually Despicable Me.  They missed one of mine. My age when daddy and I got married. One of you put 21 the other put 22 and it is actually 25. I was really impressed with how much you guys know about me-I LOVE BEING YOUR MOM!!!!!!
