Paris’ Ballroom Performance

My very talented girl is also in Ballroom. She just loves it. If Paris didn’t have to go to school, she would for sure fill her day with 20 different activities, instruments to play, style of dances to learn, art styles to paint and many many more things. She loves it all and she’s amazing at math too.

Grandma & Grandpa watched the whole thing but couldn’t stay. She did see them sitting next to us and she did call them later to thank them for coming. I love that they live so close to all of us now so they can be a big part of the kids’ lives.

Then, SEBASTIAN WAS ELATED!!! He loves loves loves the snow!!! He loves to eat it, roll in it, play in it and just lay in it! He would just love it if we were Eskimos in a very cold and snowy place.

After Church everyone joined Sebastian outside. Oh, not Tristan, she was in her PJ’s as soon as we walked in the door. All she wanted to do was snuggle inside.

An Alternative To An Indoor Slide

These kids are just so resourceful. We had gotten rid of our large couch cushions that the kids used to slide down the stairs so they came up with this. This one worked even better. They took a sleeping bag and stuffed it with huge pillows. Then they tied a thick ribbon to it so they could control it better and got on. They did it for hours. They are so cute, fun and smart-they patted the bottom of the stairs and wall with lots of pillows!!!

Dead Battery

We had a simple, fast trip planned to Wal-Mart today that turned into a 2 hour stay in the parking lot. I ran in and ran out, but when I went to start the car it wouldn’t start at all. We called AAA and 45 minutes later they showed up. The guy was super nice and very thorough. An hour later we had a new battery for $120 and a 6 year warranty.

The kids were all really good about the whole thing.

When we got home it was too late for me to cook the meal I had to take to my neighbor so, we ended up buying them pizza instead. All this before our trip to Colorado. It’s like if we have $5 in our pocket something happens that cost $4. When will we  just be able to keep all $5???? I know, I know, I should be grateful for the blessing of having the $5 in the first place, but after awhile it just starts to get old and not so easy to see the blessing in it all.
