Sebastian meets Dakota

Garrett has a dog named Dakota that stays in his run every time we go. today he and Sebastian got to play.

Sebastian was in heaven!!!

Dakota has this thing that he does after he fetches a ball. He will jump into a big bowl thing of water drop the ball in the water and wait for it to be thrown again. Sebastian being the annoying dog that he is watched him do this for a few times. Sebastian has very little interest in fetching balls but was thrilled when he could beat Dakota to the water and jump in before him. Dakota was so confused he would keep the ball in his mouth and walked around Sebastian not knowing what to do. Sebastian being the bug that he is just sat there looking away like he had no idea Dakota was dying to jump in.

When it was time for us to leave for the Rockies game Dakota knew it was time for him to go back in the run. He calmly walked to our cars and then bolted for the driveway. Garrett called for him but he just ran faster and started going up the street. Garrett surprised us all with his lightning speed. Dakota was so sad to be put back in the run, but he just can’t be left outside or else he will run away.

At least Sebastian still had the kids to play with. Oh and the kittens too.

     

Hannah was our babysitter. I just can’t believe she is old enough.

I just love going to Price and Mae’s!!!!

Field Trip

We are going to Colorado for a week and it is Sebastian's first field trip, so we are all excited for him. He on the other hand was extremely nervous! For the first 4 hours of the trip he kept snuggling up to Jared, looking out the window, and walking back and forth in the car.

 

Around 9 am he couldn’t take it any longer and finally fell a sleep for a few hours. He had been up since 4:30am when we left.

 

When he was at the kids feet Jared had the A/C right on him.

  

We found the funnest place to play in Eagle, Colorado.

   

We had a picnic by the river.

The kids, Sebastian, and daddy played football on this huge field. Okay, Sebastian mostly sat next to me in the shade.

   

Then we found this old Caboose.

Then it was time to continue on our trip.

 

Colorado is a very beautiful state!

Okay, I will admit that the majority of the time my kids can be dropped off in a 3rd world country and no one would think they are out of place. But one of my favorite things is to see my kids with chocolate all over their face. When else in their lives will they be able to do this without people making fun of them, being self conscious of it, or people thinking they are just plan crazy-I just think it’s adorable to see the pleasure they had in eating that one candy bar, so I usually don’t wipe off their faces for a while. It just represents a more carefree time in all of our lives that I just love being reminded of.

And the smiles people get when they see them is just priceless!

Back to sleep they went.

While Sebastian hung out as close to the A/C as possible.

Sebastian is really a great traveler-yeah!!!
