Tippets For the Weekend

 

Our friends the Tippets stayed at our house for the weekend. We were so happy to have them. It was a weekend to try to relax and unwind…. so they did.

1/2 A Fox Den

Nate and Jackie are celebrating their wedding anniversary this weekend so we got half of their kids. They went to spend the nigh in Salt Lake-yeah!! I’m so glad we got a chance to do this for them because they have done it for us twice already and that kind of debt is too hard to carry. As always their kids were just amazing!!

The Slide

Aubree came over to spend the night and this is what they did.

We only get to see Rocky about once a year…this is the day. The day after her birthday. Paris made a cake for her.

Her little girl Bella is just the funest girl. Our kids love to play with her. They all went straight to the sand box.

We all hung out and tried to catch up on the last year. We saw each other on July 2nd 2008 so it has been a little over a year. I love to hear stories of her travels because she has been to twice as many places as we have… places I have always dreamt of going!! Raquel has now completed her doctorate so she really is Dr. Cook. She loves her job at UVU. Seriously, she has done it all! The boys met her on a bus in Korea on Buddha's birthday months before they met me.

 

We always say we have to get together more and hopefully this year we do!

Cake Boss and A Gift

While we were in New York Paris and Maria shared a room so late at night they would watch a show called Cake Boss. After bowling Paris took her own money to Macey’s so she could make a three layer cake.

She bought the batter and frosting. The middle layer got a little smooched. She took three different size pans, stacked them on top of each other, and made my favorite and her daddy’s favorite cakes. Mine the funfetti with white frosting and Jared the yellow cake with chocolate frosting. She got this idea from The Cake Boss. I think I’m going to start having her watch How To Become A Millionaire shows. This girl can do anything!!!!

 

She set aside her daddy’s favorite part of any cake… the batter. He is so spoiled!!!

Then they came into the kitchen with a present. This huge box the girls brought up the stairs. Surprise!!

 

I love it when they are in a playful mood!!!
